Alderman Ameya Pawar Leaves Governor’s Race

Chicago City Councilman Ameya Pawar is dropping out of the Illinois governor’s race. The 47th ward alderman released an email today that said he doesn’t have enough money to compete against his wealthy competitors. Pawar now plans to start a political action committee called One Illinois. The group is designed to organize young people to support progressive causes.
