I-DOT: 700 Road Projects Could End Without State Budget

Illinois lawmakers now know which road projects they could lose without a state budget.  The Illinois Department of Transportation yesterday said 700 projects across the state could end if there isn’t a budget before July 1st.  I-DOT has the money, but not the legal authority to spend it after the end of the month.  Illinois lawmakers are due back to the Capitol tomorrow to begin working on a budget.
