Two people are dead following a head on crash in Lockport Friday morning. The crash occurred just after 8am. The Will County Sheriff’s office released the preliminary investigation details:
Chevrolet Silverado was traveling in the northbound lanes of IL 171 as a Kenworth straight truck was traveling southbound near Dell Park Avenue. For unknown reasons, the Chevrolet crossed into the southbound lanes, striking the Kenworth head-on. The driver of the Chevrolet, 23-year-old Juan Huerta-Hernandez and an unknown passenger were both pronounced deceased at the scene by Will County Coroner. The driver of the truck is 55-year old Gary Duckett of Custer Park, Illinois.
Illinois State Police Crash Reconstruct Team was called to the scene and the crash remains under investigation.
