Frankfort’s Director of Community Development Given More Duties

Mayor Jim Holland congratulates Jeff Cook on his appointment to Assistant Village Administrator; Jeff’s wife, Heather, was also in attendance

The Frankfort Village Board appointed Jeff Cook to the position of Assistant Village Administrator at its December 4, 2017 meeting. Cook has served Frankfort for over 15 years, and will continue to serve as Director of Community Development, adding the Assistant Village Administrator responsibilities to his duties.

Jeff began his work as the village planner, and has since expanded his role to involve economic development, building and inspections, planning for utilities and public works, IT, and development of the Village’s Geographic Information System (GIS). Jeff also served as Vice Chairmen of the Old Plank Road Trail Management Commission for six years.

Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and a Master’s degree in Real Estate from the University of Illinois.

Mayor Holland stated, “Since 2002, Jeff has been a solid performer for the Village of Frankfort. He is well respected by our employees and his peers. Jeff will make an excellent Assistant Village Administrator for our community.”
