Illinois Lifts Ban On Freak Out, Fire Ball Rides

If the Freak Out ride at the Illinois State Fair can pass inspection, you’ll be able to ride it. The state’s Department of Labor yesterday reversed a ban on Freak Out and Fire Ball rides that went into place after a deadly accident in Ohio. The department said 12 Freak Out or Fire Ball rides had been taken out of service, including a ride scheduled to be at the State Fair in Springfield next week. But that ride could now open.
