Illinois State Fairground, State Capitol Getting Money In New Budget

Illinois‘ new budget will mean some repairs in Springfield.  Both the Illinois Capitol and the State Fairgrounds are getting money in the new state budget.  Lawmakers earmarked about 30-million dollars for repairs to several buildings at the fairgrounds, including the coliseum, which was closed last year.  The budget also includes about 20-million dollars for the Illinois Capitol complex, some of which will replace pipes that contained the bacteria that causes Legionnaires disease.
