Joliet Public Library’s 8th Annual Star Wars Day on June 3

On Saturday, June 3, the Joliet public Library will transform for its 8th Annual Star Wars™ Day—a family friendly festival of galactic proportions complete with over 100 costumed Star Wars™ characters, games, live music, prize drawings, movie prop exhibits, and more. The free event will kick off at 11 am in downtown Joliet with a parade of costumed characters supported by the American Legion Band. Join thousands of other Star Wars fans and be here early to claim your spot on Cass, Chicago or Clinton Street. The event will shut down Chicago Street from Cass to Van Buren, including the Library’s parking lot, and a portion of Clinton Street for the day’s activities, including live music, food vendors, and kid’s games. This year, the fun will include the Joliet Area Historical Museum where guests will find a scavenger hunt, Endor Bunker replica, professional light saber demonstrations, and a presentation on cryogenic freezing. A new addition this year is the Rialto Square Theatre where potential Jedi™ masters will be able to train on the theatre’s main stage! The 8th Annual Star Wars™ Day will take place Saturday, June 3 from 11 am to 4 pm at the Ottawa Street Branch of the Joliet Public Library (150 N. Ottawa St. Joliet, IL).
