The Lincoln-Way High School district will have to refund students who were overcharged for driver’s education during the 2010-2011 school after a refund was already issued to students who were overcharged during the 2015-2016 school year. Last spring is was announced that the Lincoln Way School District was forced to refund over $375,000 after the district failed renew a waiver that would have allowed them to charge $350 instead of the state mandated $50. It’s now been learned that district began charging 350 dollars instead of the approved 125 dollars before the waiver was approved for the 2010-2011 school year.
