Missing Homer Teenage Boy Found Miles Away

WJOL has learned that the missing 16 year-old boy from Homer Glen has been found in Colorado. The events began to unfold earlier this week.

The boy had been at church classes in Naperville with his mother when he left in their car and did not return. A deputy then arrived at the teen’s residence where the young man had returned and appeared calm, spoke with the deputy, and was at the kitchen table doing his homework. When the deputy stepped outside to report that the boy was fine, the 16-year-old left the residence out a side door and sped off in a vehicle. He then crashed the vehicle about two blocks away at Beaver Den Trail and Oak Valley and took off running.

The teen has been found safe in Colorado.
