At the first of four ribbon-cutting events for year-round electronics recycling in Will County, County Executive, Larry Walsh (c-r) celebrates the new drop-off location in Channahon Township with (l-r) Karrie Gibson, vice president of Vintage Tech Recyclers of Plainfield; Kent McMillin of Channahon Township; and Pat Feeney, Channahon Township Highway Commissioner. The site opened on July 7 with the Village of Bolingbrook’s site opening July 10 as a 24-hour location. Troy Township will open their site on July 23 and Washington Township, in cooperation with the Village of Beecher, will follow on July 31. Troy and Washington Townships are both electronics and traditional recycling sites.
