The Citizens Utility Board recently awarded 34-hundred compact flourescent light bulbs to the Village of Plainfield. The village won these light bulbs as part of CUB's "Get Green Initiative." On the CUB web site, residents can sign the "get green" pledge by promising to use at least one CFL bulb in their homes. Plainfield's "highest percentage of responses from its residents" made it the winner. The bulbs are now available in the Plainfield Village Hall for village citizens who would like to install them in their homes. Stop by at 24401 West Lockport Street. The bulbs are available on a first come - first served basis.
