Rick DiMaio - WJOL Weather





Rick DiMaio is now a member of the WJOL News team. Listen for his weather updates throughout the day. He spent plenty of time on television as weathercaster on CBS-2 as well as for "FOX Thing in the Morning," "FOX News at 5" and "FOX News at 6 am."

He has taught for the Art Institute of Chicago, where he designed a survey course on meteorology with an emphasis on graphics.

Rick also worked for United Airlines where he had been the staff meteorologist for ten years. During his tenure at United, Rick designed and produced an International Pilots Weather Manual for the airline's European and North Atlantic operations. He also produced various in-house case studies on diverse weather conditions and supervised and co-published a one-year thunderstorm study.

Rick majored in meteorology and minored in marine science at State University of New York, College at Oswego and received his bachelor's degree in meteorology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in August 1985. While in college, he was the weathercaster for WTOP-TV at Oswego and WHA-TV in Madison.

Rick is a member of the American Meteorological Society, National Weather Association and the Airline Dispatch Federation.
