It will be starting Monday October 26th that drivers should be prepared to allow extra time, and to use alternate routes, when traveling along a three-and-a-half mile stretch of Lincoln Highway, U S Route 30, from Cicero Avenue in Matteson to a quarter-mile east of Western Avenue in Chicago Heights. Travel times are expected to increase substantially through the towns of Matteson, Park Forest, Olympia Fields, and Chicago Heights. The work is scheduled to be completed by the first week of December, depending upon cooperation from the weather.
