Starting Wednesday, the Illinois Department of Transportation will be closing Renwick Road just east of Route 59, in order to pour concrete for new pavement through the intersection. Local businesses will remain open, and local traffic will be permitted access from the east via Renwick Road. Drivers passing through the area are urged to follow the posted detour that utilizes a combination of Route 59, Caton Farm Road, the west I-55 Frontage Road, and U S Route 30. Work is expected to be completed by next Monday, weather permitting.
