Senate Confirms Joliet Native As Chicago’s Next U.S. Attorney

John Lausch is set to become the next U.S. attorney in Chicago.  The U.S. Senate confirmed yesterday that the Joliet native will be the city’s next top federal prosecutor, replacing Zachary Fardon.  He won’t begin his new job until his commission is signed by President Trump, who nominated him for the post in August.  Lausch worked as a federal prosecutor in Chicago from 1999 to 2010.
