22-Year-Old Struck by Gunfire in Joliet on Tuesday Night

Joliet Police are investigating after gunshots in the city late Tuesday night. Police were called to the 1300 block of Fairmount Avenue at 9:46 pm after receiving a call regarding shots in the area. Shortly after arriving officers located a house that had been struck multiple times by gunfire as well as a 22-year-old female inside the residence who had been struck in the leg by gunfire. She was transported to Silver Cross Hospital by the Joliet Fire Department with non-life-threatening injuries.
