44 Year Old Woman Shot to Death in Unincorporated Joliet

44 year old Tamala Clayton was pronounced dead by the Will County Coroner’s Office on Saturday, July 27th, 2019 at 10:20 a.m. in the 200 block of Reichman St. in unincorporated Joliet.
Will County Sheriff’s Deputies were on scene shortly after 5am on Saturday in response to a 911 call. Upon arrival they located Clayton who had sustained a gunshot wound.
This homicide came just hours after Joliet Police responded to a homicide several miles away on Hobbs Ave.
Authorities are investigating the possibility of the two shootings being related.
