Accident Causes Power Outage in Plainfield

An accident involving a semi closed a major roadway in Plainfield on Wednesday night. It was just after 7:30 p.m. that semi hit a utility poll on southbound Route 59 between 111th and 119th Street.  The roadway was closed for a time as the accident was cleaned up. A power outage has been reported in the champion Creek subdivision, Com-Ed is at the scene and attempting to repair the outage.
