The Indiana Attorney General has announced the discovery of additional fetal remains in Illinois that are believed to be linked to abortions performed by the late Dr. Ulrich Klophfer. The remains were found among the personal property of Dr. Klopfer, who performed abortion at Indiana clinics located in Fort Wayne, Gary and South Bend. These newly discovered remains were found in a vehicle that belong to Dr. Klopfer in an outdoor gated lot of a business in Dolton, Illinois. The vehicles stored on the property have been stored at this location for over six years. A total of eight cars belonging to Dr. Ulrich Klopfer were located on the property.  In one of the vehicle’s trunk compartments, were five plastic bags and one box discovered that contained numerous medically preserved fetal remains. It is believed that less than 100 fetal remains were recovered on this date, pending a more thorough examination of the contents and records.

These developments are the latest in an investigation that began in unincorporated Will County on September 12th when family members going through Dr. Klopfer’s belongings found over 2,200 fetal remains in the late doctor’s garage.

Indiana Attorney General Chris Hill has announced that his office has set up a phone number and email address for the specific use of anyone with possible connections to the fetal remains who may wish to inquire. The email address is [email protected], and the phone number is (317) 234-6663.
