Alert Truck Driver Helps Car Fire Victim

A truck flies off of I-55, through a fence and lands on Frontage Road. It happened on I-55 near the weigh stations by Route 53. The truck burst into flames. It happened about 50 feet from WJOL listener and truck driver John Mares who used his fire extinguisher to help put out the fire before emergency vehicles arrived. The driver managed to get out of the vehicle.
