Arrest Made in Plainfield Child Abduction

The Plainfield Police have announced an arrest related to a Child Abduction on Monday. It was at 8:58am that officers were called to 12900 block of Cypress Lane after receiving a call of a Child Abduction. Officers were told that a male had entered the home and removed his 5-year-old son from the residence without permission. The male fled the house in a SUV.

A short time later Plainfield Police stopped the SUV in the area of Route 30 and Lily Cache Road. During the traffic stop, the male fled on foot and left his son in the vehicle, uninjured.

Later that afternoon at approximately 4:15pm, a call was received from a witness, who said they saw a person matching the physical description of the suspect in the area of Route 59 and Fort Beggs Drive. When officers arrived they were able to locate the suspect and place him into custody. The male was transported for a medical evaluation at a local hospital.
