Attorney Challenges CPS Mask Mandate

A downstate attorney who has led legal challenges against Governor Pritzker’s pandemic policies is asking a judge to halt the COVID-19 masking requirement at Chicago Public Schools.  Tom DeVore filed a motion yesterday in Sangamon County court requesting a temporary restraining order.  The request was made a day after Pritzker lifted the mask mandate at Illinois schools.  CPS is one of only a handful of districts in the state still enforcing a masking requirement.
