Big Box Store Coming To Plainfield

A major retail store is getting the OK from the Plainfield planning department to build at the corner of I-55 and Route 30. Costco is expected to build across from the Louis Joliet Mall at the northwest corner. The Village of Plainfield entered into an intergovernmental agreement between Plainfield and the City of Joliet to provide public cost sharing for road maintenance, plus sewer and water service. No word when Costco will be breaking ground.
