A Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck At Six Corners In Joliet

Joliet police are investigating after a male pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while in the parking of the CVS at six corners in Joliet. It occurred at around  4:30 a.m.  A black sedan is seen with a white sheet draped over the passenger side of the vehicle.  The CVS is located at 809 Plainfield Road near Raynor Avenue and Black Road.

On March 10, 2022, at 4:34 AM, Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of CVS drugstore. A preliminary investigation of the crash determined an unidentified adult male pedestrian in the CVS parking lot had been struck by a vehicle driven by a 77-year-old male after the driver had entered the parking lot from Plainfield Road. The pedestrian became trapped under the vehicle.

Despite attempted lifesaving measures, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Joliet Police Traffic Unit.
