Bolingbrook Golf Course Closes This Week For LIV Golf Individual Championship
Beginning Monday, September 9, Bolingbrook will welcome some of the world’s best golfers and the LIV Golf Individual Championship to the Bolingbrook Golf Club. As we look forward to this exciting week, we are asking our residents to help make it a safe and memorable event for all.
The LIV Golf team will be on site starting Monday and the Bolingbrook Golf Club facilities will be closed to the public for the remainder of the week. The LIV Golf Individual Championship will begin on Friday, September 13, as will most of the noticeable changes to the traffic pattern around the club. Those patterns will stay in effect on September 13th, 14th, and 15th.
During the tournament weekend, access to the surrounding neighborhoods will be limited to residents and their guests. The homeowner associations for Americana Estates, Patriot Place, Liberty Green, Foxridge Farms, River Hills, Southgate, and Somerfield have all been supplied with particular guidelines and information. All general parking for LIV Golf ticket holders is located at 200 Old Chicago Drive. LIV Golf will provide free shuttles for guests to and from the property.
Please expect detours near the Bolingbrook Golf Club on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Rodeo Drive will be closed from Essington Road to Kings Road, and Kings Road will be closed south of Rodeo Drive daily. Motorists will be rerouted north to Hassert Boulevard.
Rodeo Drive is expected to remain open Monday through Thursday to all traffic, but we urge the public to consider alternate routes for your commute and drive with extra caution as there will be an increase in pedestrian crossings throughout the week.
Chief Mike Rompa thanks each of you for helping to make this a safe and successful event.
