Bolingbrook Police Arrest Man For Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon

On Monday, May 24th, 2021, at 6:47 pm, officers stopped a Volkswagen Jetta for speeding on Lily Cache Lane at Plainview Drive. Officers made contact with the driver, Eric Jackson, 20 years of age, from the 300 block of Wildrose Court, Bolingbrook. Officers could smell the odor of burnt cannabis inside the vehicle.

Officers searched the vehicle and located a handgun under the driver’s seat.  A loaded gun magazine was located in the center console of the vehicle. A check of the gun indicated it was a stolen firearm. Jackson was taken into custody without incident and charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, No Firearm Owner’s Identification Card and Speeding. Jackson was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
