Bolingbrook Police Investigate Hate Crime
Bolingbrook police are investigating a hate crime that happened in the early morning hours of April 27th. Officers responded to the 100 block of Enclave Circle for a report of criminal damage to property. An unknown person threw a brick through a bedroom window. The victim then discovered several derogatory, homophobic and racial epithets spray painted on the front of the home. The incident is currently under investigation as a hate crime. No one is in custody at this time.
Bolingbrook police tell WJOL that they have been in constant communication with the family and are investigating every lead they provide us.
Police say this was NOT a random attack on the Muslim community and we have no evidence a “white supremacist” conducted the vandalism.
