Bolingbrook’s National Night Out – A Success
Bolingbrook Police Department thanking everyone who came out to celebrate Bolingbrook’s National Night Out (NNO) on August 2nd. The most successful NNO in Bolingbrook’s history according to Police Chief Mike Rompa. Rompa says the men and women of the Bolingbrook Police Department were blown away by the enormous turnout. “The continued support that we receive from our community doesn’t go unnoticed. The relationships and engagement with the families of Bolingbrook are equally rewarding and inspiring, which was evident on this great night.”
According to the press release, “Our officers enjoyed answering questions, showing off their K9 partners, doing drone demonstrations and letting kids play inside our various police vehicles. In addition to receiving numerous handouts from several public safety entities and the American Legion Post 1288 kids were able to ride the trackless train and traverse the climbing wall.. However, no event would be complete without a live rock concert and a flyover from Chicago Police Department’s helicopter. The crowd was treated to a thrilling show by HAIR, who covered all of rock’s greatest ballads!”
“This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our very own residents and elected officials. Thank you all, and we are already looking forward to Bolingbrook’s National Night Out 2024.”
