Building In Springfield Named After Ex-Illinois Supreme Court Justice

Former Illinois Supreme Court Justice Robert Carter is being honored in the state capitol. The Grandview Municipal Building on North Milton Avenue has been renamed in his honor. Carter was appointed to the Supreme Court in December 2020 after Justice Thomas Kilbride lost his retention bid. He declined to run in November’s judicial election.
