Cardinal Cupich Speaks Out Against Hateful Rhetoric After Mass Shootings

Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich is speaking out against hateful rhetoric by the country’s leaders following deadly mass shootings in Ohio and Texas over the weekend. Cupich issued a statement yesterday saying the public needs to hold the leaders who fuel violent acts by dividing humanity through hateful rhetoric accountable. He added that elected officials who have failed to condemn hate speech must be stopped.
