Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening. A big temperature difference between the north and southern half of the state. North of Chicago the temperature will be in the 50’s and in the Joliet area the high today expected around 70 degrees. For Friday, mostly cloudy and windy with a high a of 54. Wind gusts to 40 mph.
