The Chicago alligator has been caught. For over a week the four to five foot gator, being dubbed “Chance the Snapper” had eluded authorities in a lagoon on Chicago’s West Side.  The city ordered the entire eastern part of Humboldt park closed, including paths, driveways, walkways and parking lots in an effort to catch the gator. News of the gator brought out hundreds of spectators, perhaps scaring the gator, who hasn’t been spotted in days. The city also hiring a Crocodilian Specialist from Florida named Frank Rob. The alligator was caught overnight and the Chicago Police Department is holding a press conference later this morning.
