Chicago Resident Is Illinois’ First Case Of Omicron Variant

A Chicago resident is Illinois’ first confirmed case of the Omicron COVID-19 Variant. Health officials say the person was a known contact of a confirmed Omicron case from another state who visited Chicago. The Chicago resident was fully vaccinated with a booster dose and didn’t require hospitalization. The person is improving and has been self-isolating since their symptoms began.
