Chicago Top Doc: Lollapalooza Wasn’t ‘Superspreader Event’

Chicago’s top doctor says Lollapalooza wasn’t a “superspreader event” for COVID-19. Health Commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady said out of the 385-thousand people who attended, just over 200 attendees have been diagnosed with COVID-19. As of Wednesday, none of those who tested positive have had to be hospitalized or have died. Health officials have estimated about 90-percent of those who attended the four-day music festival in Grant Park were vaccinated.
