Chicago’s Top Doc Remains Hopeful About Ending Mask Mandate Feb. 28

Chicago’s top doctor is remaining hopeful that the city could end its indoor mask mandate at the same time as Illinois on February 28th. Health Commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady said COVID-19 numbers are improving in the city, adding that a final determination could be made next week. She did say the mandates on face coverings and proof of vaccination for many venues will remain in place in Chicago until three out of four COVID metrics fall to the lowest or second-lowest category of risk.
