Child Infections With COVID-19 Increasing In Illinois

Illinois is experiencing a serious increase in COVID-19 infections among children. Healthcare officials say the delta variant is driving the increase. A quarter of those who were seen in the emergency room were admitted to the hospital. Concerns are also increasing about a rise in Multi System Inflammatory Syndrome, which often follows a COVID-19 diagnosis in children.
