Crest Hill police continue to investigate the shooting of woman after she answered the door to her home on Friday night. Crest Hill Police Chief Ed Clark says the shooting of a 36-year-old woman in the 18-hundred block of Highland Avenue was NOT a random act. The shooting took place on Friday, September 27th during the 8 o’clock hour. Clark says the public should not be alarmed as this was a targeted shooting and not an act of random violence. Clark would not speculate on the motive or if the woman was the intended target or mistaken identity.
The woman is expected to be ok. Chief Clark is asking the public to share any information or video from their ring door bell that caught the incident on camera.
