Darren Bailey Announces Run For Illinois’ 12th Congressional Seat

Republican Darren Bailey is planning a run for Congress. Bailey served as an Illinois State Representative from 2019 to 2021, then as part of the Illinois Senate. Bailey previously ran for governor — a race he lost to JB Pritzker in 2022. Now, Bailey plans to pursue Illinois’ 12th Congressional seat, which is currently held by Republican Congressman Mike Bost.
