Dart Commends Lawmakers For Passing Ghost Gun Ban

Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart is commending the Illinois General Assembly for passing legislation to prevent the spread of “ghost guns.” These types of firearms are ones without serial numbers, making them untraceable. Dart said untraceable ghost guns pose a significant threat to their efforts to combat violence. Lawmakers voted to ban the sale and possession of these types of guns. The bill now heads to Governor Pritzker’s desk.
