DCFS Director Responding To Over 100 Child Deaths

The acting director of the Department of Children and Family Services is responding to critics after the deaths of over 100 children in the last year with ties to the agency. Marc Smith says it’s important to know that not all of those children were killed by abuse and neglect. The DCFS Inspector General says the most recent data shows that at least 14 of the deaths were the result of abuse or neglect with many others still being investigated.
