Authorities are considering possible charges against an Ohio man who claimed he was a suburban Aurora boy who went missing in 2011. DNA tests show the person found Wednesday morning on a street corner in Newport, Kentucky isn’t 14-year-old Timmothy Pitzen, but rather Brian Michael Rini. The 23-year-old told officers that he was Pitzen and had been held captive for the past seven years. Rini is a convicted felon who was released from an Ohio prison last month after serving more than a year for burglary and vandalism. The Aurora Police Department will continue to investigate the disappearance of Timmothy, who went missing nearly eight years ago when his mother was found dead of an apparent suicide.

Rini is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. Jonathan Rini told reporters that his brother has a history of mental illness.
