Early Morning Fire Destroys Mobile Home

The East Joliet Fire Protection District received a call about a fire at Route 53 and Zarley Road early Monday morning. Fire Chief Robert Scholtes tells WJOL that the fire occurred at 1519 Chicago Street, Lot B-11 and they were called to the scene at 3:06 a.m. The area was cleared by 7 a.m. The mobile home is complete loss. No one was injured. The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
