Early Voting Turnout Better Than Expected

Election officials say early voting turnout in Illinois is better than expected. Over 68-thousand people have already cast their ballot ahead of the March 17 primary. The turnout comes despite controversy over issues with the state’s Automatic Voter Registration. Officials say there is extensive security surrounding elections in the state designed to protect each vote, including paper backups.
