No surprises in the Illinois presidential primary last night. President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump both won their party’s nominations. Voter turnout remained historically low for a presidential primary in the state. Unofficially, it’s the lowest voter turnout for a presidential primary in the past 12 years.
