Expressway Shootings In Chicago Area Down In 2022

Chicago area expressway shootings are down this year.  Illinois State Police is reporting that midway through 2022, the total number of expressway shootings have dropped 36-percent as compared to the same time period last year.  The number of non-deadly expressway shootings in the Chicago area have decreased by 46-percent, while expressway homicides are down 90-percent.  Governor Pritzker credits anti-violence work by the ISP for the progress.
