WJOL has learned that Joliet Police responded to a call that happened to be a false alarm on Thursday morning. It was at 10:18am that officers were called to the 1900 block of S.Briggs Street in reference to that active shooter alarm. Officers responded and cleared the building. A quick investigation was able to determine that there was no active shooter or similar threat. It was determined that the alarm, which was recently installed, was accidentally activated which caused the Joliet Police to respond.
