Fatal Crash Under Investigation

Illinois State Police are releasing details after a fatal crash on I-55 northbound last Saturday. ISP responded to a one vehicle crash, which occurred on I- 55 northbound just south of IL Route 126, on November 30 at 2:09am.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet was traveling along the road when it lost control and slid sideways off the east side of the roadway. The Chevy crossed through the ditch and struck a tree with the driver’s side of the vehicle. The Driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Will County Coroner. The Illinois State Police are investigating this crash and no further information is available at this time.
