Federal Workers Gather In Loop, Call For End To Shutdown

Federal workers in Chicago are calling for an end to the partial government shutdown. Several border and customs agents along with agriculture employees took part in a noon rally in the city’s downtown area at Federal Plaza at Adams and Dearborn. The demonstration was sponsored by the largest union that represents federal workers, the American Federation of Government Employees. The shutdown is in its 20th day.
