Federal prosecutors are seeking more time before a grand jury can indict trouble Chicago Alderman Ed Burke. U.S. Attorney John Lausch filed a motion yesterday requesting a 90-day extension to put the investigation in order for a grand jury to indict the powerful city official. Burke is charged with attempted extortion after he was accused of trying to shake down two fast food businessmen, who were looking to rehab their Southwest Side eateries. He has denied any wrongdoing.
