First Annual “Mongo Bowl” Helps Benefit Former Bear

A Super Bowl watch party fundraiser is bringing national attention to former Chicago Bear Steve McMichael.  Nearly two years ago, McMichael revealed that he had been battling ALS – a disease that requires round the clock care.  During yesterday’s Super Bowl, McMichael’s family, Onesti Entertainment, and others joined to host the first annual “Mongo Bowl” at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles and the Des Plaines Theatre.  Mongo, who was a part of the 1985 Super Bowl Champion Bears team, is now fully paralyzed and has lost his voice, but remains strong-willed and still very much in the fight.
